How I Can Help You
I offer a range of planting design services, from updating planting schemes in established gardens to creating complete planting plans for newly landscaped spaces.
I also collaborate with garden designers, landscapers and architects, providing planting design expertise on a range of projects.
However, if you are simply looking for garden inspiration and design ideas, or would simply like to get to know your garden better, I also offer residential garden design consultations.
Based in Sevenoaks, I work throughout Kent and further afield depending on the project.
About Sally-Anne
As an experienced gardener and horticulturist, I combine both a planting design background with practical horticultural knowledge. An RHS Chelsea award-winning designer, I am also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture, and hold diplomas from both the RHS and the London College of Garden Design.
As part of the Planting Design Collective, I created an ‘All About Plants’ show garden for Plant Heritage at the 2026 RHS Chelsea Flower Show, winning a Silver-Gilt Medal, and also co-designed a border installation for the 2024 RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival.
Since graduating from the LCGD in 2023, I have completed planting design projects across Kent and Surrey, ranging from planting schemes for large country estates and show gardens, to redesigns of residential suburban gardens.
My wider horticultural experience includes volunteering in the gardens at Great Comp and guest lecturing on the RHS Level 2 course. I have also been a contributor on the Our Plant Stories podcast as part of our Chelsea garden. I garden extensively at home, growing my own vegetables and cut flowers, and trialling new plant combinations and old favourites on my heavy Kent clay soil.
In 2022 I founded Roots Into Horticulture, a not-for-profit initiative that brings together horticultural experts to offer advice, encouragement and practical insight into careers and progression within the industry.
I live in the countryside outside Sevenoaks with my family and other animals.
